Matsuo. Fruit craft from Wakayama.
Matsuo started in Wakayama in 1998 and incorporated in August 2003. The company works with fruit growers and turns carefully selected fruit into juices and other fruit products.
The relationship begins in the orchard. Matsuo meets growers directly during the season, checking the fruit and discussing the harvest. Those conversations help the team understand how the fruit changes from year to year.
Back in the workshop, preparation is hands-on. Staff inspect cut fruit and remove damaged portions before processing. Mikan are peeled by hand; peaches are cut and checked individually. The aim is to keep the character of the fruit in the finished drink.
Kiwami uses satsuma mandarins from Wakayama, mainly Arida. Arakawa peach drink uses white peaches from Momoyama in Kinokawa. The yuzu juice offered by H&K uses Japanese yuzu; its fruit origin should not be read as exclusively Wakayama.

Wakayama mikan and Momoyama peaches are selected for their character. The yuzu juice in this range uses Japanese yuzu.

The team prepares and checks the fruit before pressing, removing parts that should not enter the product.

Fill and finish
The juice is filled, capped and packed. H&K then confirms order and export details with the buyer.
