How it works

From brief to shipment

A typical private-label project follows these six steps.

  1. Brief

Tell us the shape, colours, quantity, target market and the packaging you have in mind.

  2. Samples

We send standard samples, so you can test the feel and the colours.

  3. Packaging

You send the artwork. We check the size, materials and printing with the maker.

  4. Quotation

You get one quotation in Japanese yen with the lead time, then a pro-forma invoice.

  5. Production

About one month after the order for standard runs. Large orders take about two months, or ship in parts.

  6. Shipping

We prepare the export documents and ship by air or by sea, together with your other items.

A farmer lifting konjac corms from the soil by hand in Gunma, Japan

The maker

Made in Japan, mostly by hand

The sponge starts as konjac powder from corms grown in Gunma. It is mixed with water, shaped, heated, then frozen and dried in the farm’s own process. This creates the fine, soft structure inside.

One batch takes about two weeks, and much of the work is done by hand. No antibacterial or antifungal agents are added.

FAQ

Questions about konjac sponge OEM

What is the minimum order for private-label konjac sponges?

As a guide from the maker: about 120 pieces in total for the standard product, with colours mixed; about 500 pieces for a custom printed card. Your own label on the standard packaging is possible in smaller runs. We confirm the exact figures in our quotation.

How long does production take?

As a guide, about one month after the order for standard runs. Large orders take about two months, or can be shipped in parts. We give you a date with the quotation.

Can I get samples first?

Yes. We can send standard samples so you can test the feel and the colours. We quote the sample and shipping cost first.

Can you make a custom colour or blend?

For larger orders, plant-based ingredients can be blended into the konjac. Animal-derived ingredients are not used, because of the heating process, vegan needs and religious needs.

Do you offer organic konjac sponges?

Yes. Sponges can be made with certified organic konjac powder. The sponge is sold as general merchandise, so it does not carry an organic cosmetics or food label. Ask us about the raw material certificate from the maker.

How long does one sponge last?

With normal use, about one month. After each use, press out the water and hang the sponge to dry.

Can you supply my country?

Availability varies by country. Tell us your market first, and we will confirm whether we can supply it before we quote.
